Canvas Controls

Last updated 1 day ago

Canvas Controls in Lleverage provide tools to navigate, organize, and manage your workflow interface efficiently. These controls help you build and refine automations within the visual canvas environment.

Key Features

  • Navigation tools for moving around the canvas

  • Zoom controls for adjusting your view

  • Organization options for arranging your actions

  • Collapse/expand functions for better workspace management

  • Co-Pilot access for AI-assisted workflow creation

Understanding the Canvas Environment

  1. The canvas is identified by the light gray background with a dotted pixel grid

  2. Canvas controls are only available within the Canvas Studio

  3. The canvas is where you place and connect your workflow actions

  4. Your current view position determines where new actions appear when added

💡 Think of the canvas as your workflow design space where all your automation building happens.

How to Use Canvas Controls

How to Add Actions to the Canvas

  1. Click the "Add Action" button in the top left corner

  2. Select an action from the menu

  3. The action will appear in your current viewport, unconnected to other actions

💡 This is just one way to add actions. You can also add them by clicking connection points on existing actions.

How to Navigate the Canvas

  1. Press and hold to move around the canvas

  2. Use the zoom controls in the bottom left corner:

    • Minus (-) button: Zoom out

    • Plus (+) button: Zoom in

    • Percentage display: Shows current zoom level

    • Clicking percentage: Returns to 100% zoom

⚠️ If you zoom out to 50% or less, actions will automatically collapse to conserve space since they become unreadable at smaller sizes.

How to Adjust Your View

  1. Zoom levels range from approximately 50% (minimum) to 100% (maximum)

  2. Click the "fit to screen" button (four corners icon) to automatically adjust the view to show all actions

  3. This feature ensures your entire workflow is visible at once when possible

💡 The fit to screen function is particularly useful for getting an overview of complex workflows.

How to Organize Your Canvas

  1. Use the "reorganize" button (line/square/line icon) to automatically align actions

  2. This creates consistent spacing between actions and aligns them in a logical flow

  3. The system will position actions to maximize readability and connection clarity

How to Collapse/Expand Actions

  1. Use the arrow buttons to manage action display:

    • Arrow down: Collapses all actions to show only headers

    • Arrow up: Expands all actions to show full details

  2. The arrow direction changes to indicate the current state

  3. This helps manage complex workflows by reducing visual clutter

💡 Collapsing actions is particularly useful when working with large workflows to get a better overview.

How to Access Co-Pilot

  1. Click the "Co-Pilot" text in the bottom left area

  2. This activates or deactivates the Co-Pilot feature

  3. When active, Co-Pilot can help generate and suggest workflow improvements

💡 For more information about Co-Pilot functionality, visit the Co-Pilot section of the documentation.

How to Get Support

  1. Look for the chat icon in the bottom right corner (round circle with text icon)

  2. This appears when a Lleverage agent is online

  3. Click to open a live chat with support staff for immediate assistance

💡 The support chat provides direct access to help from Lleverage staff when building your workflows.

Important Canvas Control Considerations

  1. The top right area is reserved for panels that provide additional workflow functionality

  2. New actions are always added to your current view position

  3. Automatic organization respects the connections between actions

  4. Canvas controls are designed to help manage workflows of any complexity

  5. The support chat is only available when agents are online

⚠️ Always save your work before making major canvas reorganizations, although the system does maintain automatic version history.
