# Zendesk

Zendesk integration in Lleverage connects your workflows and agents to your support desk, so they can create and update tickets, manage users and organisations, and react automatically as tickets move through your queue.

### How to Connect

1. **Go to Settings > Connections** in your project
2. **Pick Zendesk** from the list of apps
3. **Enter your Zendesk subdomain** - the first part of your Zendesk web address, e.g. "yourcompany" if you sign in at yourcompany.zendesk.com
4. **Choose which actions** the connection should allow and who should have access (shared or personal)
5. **Choose "Connect Now"** and sign in with your Zendesk account

> 💡 Zendesk signs in with your Zendesk account (OAuth) once you've provided the subdomain, so there's no API key to manage.

### What Zendesk Can Do

* **Tickets** - create, update, retrieve, list and search tickets
* **Ticket comments** - add comments to tickets and list a ticket's existing comments
* **Users** - create, update, retrieve, list and search users
* **Organisations** - create, update, retrieve, list and search organisations

### Triggers

Zendesk provides four triggers, so workflows can start automatically when:

* **A new ticket** is created
* **A new comment** is added to a ticket
* **A ticket's status changes**
* **A ticket is assigned**

Zendesk notifies Lleverage when these events happen, so workflows start straight away.

> 💡 **Use case**: Triage and categorise new tickets automatically, draft first responses for agents to approve, or escalate tickets the moment they change status.

### Important Considerations

* The connected account's role in Zendesk determines what the integration can see and change
* Search actions use Zendesk's own search syntax, so anything you can search for in Zendesk you can search for here

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.lleverage.ai/external-apps-integration/zendesk.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
