# Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central integration in Lleverage connects your workflows and agents to your ERP, so they can look up customers and items, raise sales and purchase documents, and keep Business Central in step with the rest of your processes.

### How to Connect

Business Central is an ERP connection, and ERP connections are set up together with the Lleverage team because they need configuration specific to your environment. **Control → Connections may currently show the self-serve Business Central tile as Coming soon; managed ERP setup is a separate path.**

1. **Contact the Lleverage team** via support or your account manager to start the managed setup
2. **Sign in with Microsoft** using an account that has access to your Business Central environment when asked
3. **Confirm the connection** appears in Control → Connections, ready for use in workflows and by agents

> 💡 Once connected, you can control which actions the connection allows and which need approval before running, just like any other connection.

### What Business Central Can Do

* **Customers** - create, update, find and list customers
* **Vendors** - find and list vendors and retrieve their details
* **Items** - find and list items and retrieve item details
* **Sales orders** - create sales orders, add order lines, update and look up existing orders
* **Sales invoices** - create invoices and invoice lines, and find or list existing invoices
* **Sales quotes** - create and look up sales quotes
* **Purchase invoices** - create invoices and invoice lines, update them, and find or list existing ones
* **Companies and attachments** - list the companies in your environment, upload attachments, and batch several requests together

> 💡 **Use case**: Turn an incoming order email into a sales order automatically, or let an agent look up a customer's open invoices before answering a query.

### Important Considerations

* The connected account's permissions in Business Central determine what the integration can see and change
* Most actions ask you to pick the company first, since Business Central environments often contain several

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.lleverage.ai/administer-and-govern/control/connections/microsoft-dynamics-365-business-central.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
